About Me:

Human beings are complex creatures. We are the most cognitively advanced species on the planet, yet none of us are immune to emotional pain and suffering. When adversity strikes, it is more common than you might think to get “stuck” in symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, isolation, or anger. Fortunately, lasting change is achievable with therapy.

As a Clinical Psychologist based out of West Los Angeles, California, I specialize in providing treatment for issues related to trauma. Trauma can come in many forms, and people aren’t always equipped with the necessary tools to effectively cope with trauma. I provide my clients with the practical skills and tools needed for recovery and growth. I operate from a primarily Cognitive Behavioral orientation, but do integrate several treatment modalities and tailor treatment to every individual with whom I work.

Throughout my graduate training in Northern California, I worked in numerous clinical settings including a community mental health center, homeless shelters, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, and multiple Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. Since October 2022 I have managed a residential rehabilitation treatment program for Combat Veterans with PTSD at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.

While I am highly trained to work with individuals across the lifespan, I work particularly well with men who struggle with negative emotions, thoughts, or behaviors. Unfortunately, there is social conditioning in our society that dissuades many men from learning to handle negative emotions in a healthy way. All too often we immerse ourselves in work, personal hobbies, or projects - which can come at the expense of maintaining closeness in relationships that really matter to us.

If you aren’t reaching for the things you want in life, I implore you to consider taking a first step by reaching out. I am a firm believer that the best investment you can make is one in yourself. I am committed to patient-centered care and ensuring that my clients receive all the necessary ingredients for significant life change: a collaborative therapeutic relationship, psychological knowledge and expertise, and sensitivity to particular needs. I have loved helping people in this capacity over the last several years and it is with great passion I will continue to do meaningful work with those who are ready.
